The purchase was made at an average price of roughly $77,906 per bitcoin. As of April 26, 2026, Strategy’s full bitcoin position was acquired for approximately $61.81 billion at an average cost of $75,537 per coin. The company also reported a bitcoin yield of 9.6% year-to-date through 2026, up from 9.5% disclosed in its prior filing one week earlier.

The April 27 buy comes one week after Strategy disclosed a separate 34,164 BTC acquisition for $2.54 billion, made at roughly $74,395 per coin. That purchase brought total holdings to 815,061 BTC. The latest transaction adds another 3,273 coins, extending the company’s position further into record territory.

Strategy has now completed more than 107 documented purchase events since August 2020, financing its bitcoin accumulation through equity offerings, convertible notes, and preferred stock instruments. The company trades on public markets under tickers MSTR and STRC. With 818,334 BTC on its books, Strategy controls roughly 3.9% of bitcoin’s fixed 21 million coin supply.

The disclosure landed on the same day Saylor reached 5 million followers on X, where he regularly posts bitcoin reserve updates and price charts to a growing global audience. The milestone reflects his position as one of the most visible corporate advocates for bitcoin as a treasury asset.

Bitcoin was trading near $93,000 to $95,000 at the time of the disclosure, keeping Strategy’s average cost basis of $75,537 well below current spot prices. The company’s unrealized gains on its holdings sit in the billions based on prevailing market prices.

Saylor has consistently described bitcoin accumulation as a long-term capital allocation strategy, framing each purchase as a hedge against currency debasement rather than a near-term trade. Strategy has shown no public indication it plans to slow the pace of buying heading into the second half of 2026.
